What did you get for Christmas?

Perhaps by now the gift exchange is over, boxes and paper are getting hauled out of the way.  I’m already feeling a nap set in.

What did you get for Christmas?

I got the best gift, I got the Lords Blessings of one more day, filled with family, both near and far. I got the love of my husband and his family here. I got the love of my family in Missiouri, Florida, Texas, Nebraska, and South Dakota. Even though I was not able to be with them again this year, I got their love and support. The good Lord Blessed me with my health and my ability to see, feel, touch, walk. He allowed me to enjoy the fruits of manys labor to enjoy a bountiful meal with loved ones. He gave me the ability to know that He loves me and wants me to be happy. He lets me know that He accepts me as I am, no matter what, He loves me!!
Lord, Thank you for all the Blessing you have given me, teach me to walk your walk better and let me grow closer to you in all I do and say.
You have filled my life with loved ones, who have forgiven me, as you have. I ask for your love and protection in all I do and all my loves one do. Protect them and keep them safe and let them also know your love.

That’s beautiful, Lynn! The gifts are nice, but Jesus Christ is THE gift! It’s so wonderful to be able to celebrate His birthday with family and friends. Glory to His name!

We drove back on slippery interstate as the snow started falling heavier and deeper this evening. Praise God we made it home safely! When we got home, I discovered that my neighbor had snowblown my sidewalks and driveway. God bless him! However, it looked like something had blown up on my snow bank. My sister said, “What’s that?!” No, it was not Jeremy’s Christmas tree or a clue to the mysterious disappearance of Mary Ingalls. I looked closely, and it was the Shopping News! It must have gotten buried under the snow and then vaccuumed up and shot out of my neighbor’s snowblower. It looked like a mad dog got ahold of that newspaper! Who delivers the Shopping News on Christmas??? I hope my neighbor’s snowblower still works! Remember those Sear’s Robuck’s catalogs? The Shopping News has as much meaning to me as those catalogs do!

    God bless everyone!

I did get a couple small gifts .. but the best gift was that I was able to be surrounded by family. When you lose family members you realize how precious time is .. therefore this Christmas we just enjoyed what God has given us and blessed us with today - as well as tried to help family enjoy what is still here.
