Daily Devo #24 - Taking Christ(mas) into Every Home/Heart

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:14

Millions will marvel today at Santa’s ability to criss-cross the world and hit every home with presents in one night. The faithful can even have fun with their kids tracking his progress on this Norad tracks Santa website (There are even 21 fun games and activities for kids there.) All that is well and good. It’s of course, total fantasy (and a bit of a distraction from the real reason for the season.)

We’ve certainly had a great time these past 24 days watching our Christmasy posts make it into homes worldwide. Click on the cluster map to the left if you haven’t already. That’s just the traffic we’ve seen since December 15. The first fifteen days aren’t even noted on the map. The Christmas Blog has already reached thousands of people in 104 countries and 1448 cities of the earth!

The reason we are doing this is to get the message of Jesus to people who desperately need him. God loves people, knows them and their struggles intimately, he knows right where they live and even the number of hairs on their heads. He knows what they’ve done, what’s been done to them and there is nothing they could do to get him to love them more. He so loved the world he sent his one and only Son into the world - not to condemn the world - but to save the world through him. That verse goes on to say that whoever believes in him (Jesus) and calls on his name will not be condemned but saved.

If you have yet to call on the name of Jesus and invite him into your heart and life, please do so now. Here’s a simple prayer to help you.

Lord Jesus, I need you in my life, please come. Thank you for dying on a cross and paying the price for my sin. I confess my sins and repent. I accept your free gift of forgiveness and salvation. Fill me now with your Spirit. Thank you for the invitation to come follow you. The rest of my life I will do just that - follow you. In your name, Amen.

We have provided a link to the left that will connect you with our church, we’d love to send you materials that will help you grow in your new life with Christ. You can request that literature using the submit a prayer request link. Fill out the online form and leave your contact info where we can send materials. If you prayed that prayer the Bible says angels in heaven are right now rejoicing over your decision. There is also a link to the left that will help you further understand how to have peace with God by accepting his Son Jesus, the Prince of Peace.

Another whole group of you reading this are already followers of Christ. You’ve been given a commission to go into all the world with this message. Go tell it on the mountain - over the hills and everywhere! Go tell it on the mountain - that Jesus Christ is born!

Before you go to bed tonight, be sure to send this Christmas Blog devotional link to everyone you know in the entire world who needs Jesus in their life. Santa can’t help them. He isn’t coming down their chimney. But Christ can come into every heart and home tonight.

PRAYER: Lord God I pray that the message of Jesus will make it this day into thousands of homes around the world through this Christmas Blog devotional. I pray those who I send this link to will have open hearts to receive your Son this Christmas.

On behalf of our entire church family we want to wish you a Merry Christmas! We are posting numerous things today in hopes that people who are far removed from a Christian Church can have their own very special Christmas Eve service right in their own home just using the things we are providing online today - songs, prayers, the Christmas Story, a message from me, etc.

As always, we’d love to hear from you - use the comment link below.

Merry Christmas to all and “Happy Birthday” to our Jesus., — Savior of the world to all who believe, follow, and obey. Trust him today and give him your heart and soul. Eternity is a very long time to live with the consequences of not making the right decision. He gave up his life in order that we would have the chance to be saved from an eternal hell…..If only we trust and believe and follow him. What could be simpler and easier than that? God Bless you all.

Merry Christmas to all, and Happy Happy Happy Birthday Mighty King
