Read My Hips - Holiday Party Body Language

Ahh, the Friday before Christmas. Seems like the best time to plan the office Christmas party. While the conversations may be going on around you, thousands of messages are being sent non-verbally. This article gives you some tips and hints for reading the unspoken messages in the crowd around you. While it is geared mostly to singles and holiday parties that involve bar time, it is so good to remember that God seeks us every single moment of every single day. He wants nothing more than to be your significant other.

Romans 5:9 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

This is what I got from the article, about eyes. Make sure you read it yourself, I may have a different view than they intended.

Making very little eye contact can convey
    • shyness
    • submissiveness
    • nervous
    • bored
    • less approachable
    • unsure of what you’re saying
    Or …
    • superiority
    • lack of interest
To fight this, actively force yourself to
    • look up
    • … but don’t stare
    • look around
    • … but don’t turn away
A fixed, unfocused stare or if your head or whole body is turned fully away to one side, away from people
    • shows your attention is elsewhere
    • (unless it’s crowded?)
    Although a direct stare
    • romantic interest
    • intensity
    • aggression
    • fear
So, what I’ve learned is we need to perfect “the gaze”
    • confident
    • interested
    • secure
    • at ease
    • calm
If you see me looking into your eyes, interpreted it as: I like eyes!
