The US House of Representatives approved a resolution on Tuesday acknowledging the significance of Christmas and Christianity. The vote was 372 to 9. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THE RESOLUTION-IT’S A POWERFUL DECLARATION!! Thanks to the 372 Democrats and Republicans who voted YES!
The nine members voting NO were Rep. Gary Ackerman (D-NY), Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-NY), Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO), Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-FL), Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA), Rep. Jim McDermott (D-WA), Rep. Bobby Scott (D-VA), Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA), and Rep. Lynn Woolsey (D-CA).
With one exception (Rep. Lee) all of these legislators voted in favor of the October House resolution to honor the Muslim Ramadan. Could it be any more clear these folks don’t want separation of church and state, they want the separation of Christianity and State.
