Gold plated wrapping paper won’t change what’s really on the inside. Jesus chided the religious leaders of his day calling them whitewashed tombs. On the outside they looked great, but on the inside they were full of dead mens bones. What are you really like on the inside? The people around you can’t even answer this for you because chances are you look just fine to them. But God isn’t looking at outward appearances. He’s looking at the heart.
And if you are wondering why you have trouble seeing him, its because only the pure in heart see him. This would be a great day to ask Jesus, the Light of the World, to come into your dark heart. Ask him to cleanse your heart, and wash away your sins.
