Christmas Gender Wars - Part 2

According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December. Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give birth in the spring.

Therefore, according to EVERY historical rendition depicting Santa’s reindeer, EVERY single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen, had to be a girl.

We should have known… ONLY women would be able to drag a fat man in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost.

Wait a second, the typical gestation time for a reindeer is 224 days (32 weeks) and the comment that they shed their antlers after giving birth in the spring, well that only means one thing … not only are female reindeer doing all the work - they’re pregnant too!! Go figure! No rest for the weary… *sigh* I guess I better stop complaining about all the work I have to do while pregnant and just be glad I’m not a reindeer. :-)

To all the women in my life I say this with a cheerful heart.

Thank you for all that you do.
You are what I am not…
You are what I can not be…
I will fall critically short, but here are just a few of the things that stand out about the amazing women in my life today.
My wife being the first on the list of course.

I heart that NEVER EVER stops loving…
    Strength that is beyond measure
A laugh that is joyous and true
    A smile that melts hearts
Any eye for what is truly beautiful
And I mind that is strong, and quick

The list is too long to keep going so I will leave it at this, but again I say Thank you.

Guys, take a few minutes and add your own thoughts to this.
