It’s a marketing campaign meant to further enslave you. Life does NOT take Visa. Visa takes LIFE! It’s takes away your joy and freedom. They know you don’t have the money right now, so they want first dibs at the money you’ll have in six months. Twelve months, 36 months. Your spending this Christmas Season is a spiritual matter!
In Proverbs 6:1-5, we are told to flee debt with the intensity of a fleeing gazelle. You’ve seen the deer-like gazelle fleeing for its life on Animal Planet or the Discovery Channel. Every time they show a gazelle fleeing from a cheetah (the fastest animal on earth) the cheetah wins.
But, not in real life. In real life, the gazelle gets away 19 out of 20 times! It’s because they dart, turn, and twist and take off the moment the “charging” cheetah is near. Don’t let the “CHARGING cheetah” get you this year.
PRAYER: God, help me flee from the charging cheetah. I repent for my spending stupidity in the past. When the marketers set an enticing trap before me, speak to me in that moment. You are my life, my sole desire. In you I lack no good thing. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
