One of the great things about Christmas time is that people are generally nicer to one another. This is true in all cultures though Germans give the best compliments I think.
Sioux Falls, now it’s your turn… let’s say some nice things about our city and even about specific people here who really need a compliment right now. Use the comment link below… or just find somebody today to be nice to!
I will start…
The first group of folks that some to mind this morning are out street crews… That’s right the same one who buried my car this weekend.
When there is a need these men and women head out in to the cold weather and just get rolling about the time the rest of use are calling it a night. They work until the job is done. They are faithful, and if not for them our lovely city would simply shutdown.
I say thank you for that…
I pray that you have a safe season, and that our creator would poor blessings into you life in ways that you have never imagined.
We moved to Sioux Falls three years ago today … and I’m thankful that it finally feels like home.
Merry Christmas, everyone!
WOW Jeremy do I ever agree!! I as well was one of those brilliant neighbors that left a car on the street!! I will give props to the entire city of Sioux Falls! We are so blessed to have all the parks we do!! This is a very beautiful city and they do an amazing job of keeping it that way!! Do we all realize how blessed we are to be here together!! I have been here 10 years and i have done nothing but dream of warmer lands down south but honestly at this point I couldn’t move away from all of you! ahhh how sweet, there i said it!
I grew up never feeling wanted or welcome. It’s a hard thing to outgrow. But the years I’ve spent at Church at the Gate have helped me through that. So, sappy as it sounds, church family:
“I thank God for everything, and you are one of my most favorites!”
I love Sioux Falls because of the people who live here - hard working, honest, down to earth folks who always seem willing to help a stranger. My hat is off to our police officers and others who work to make our city safe and a wonderful place to live.
I’m thankful for our teachers in the school district. They do a tremendous job with what they have and many of them do it to make a difference in kids lives. Thank you to the school district who has so many programs for the many different kinds of students we have in Sioux Falls.
I love Sioux Falls because it is where some of the people I love the most live! Take care of my people!
Hi Guys
I have just returned from Sioux Falls and despite the fact that my luggage is still ’somewhere in the USA’ (Due to the snowstorms that hit before I left) I feel so happy to have been able to visit and especially to meet so many kind-hearted people at Church At The Gate.
I have NEVER attended a more ‘genuine’ church in the 31 years that I have been a Christian.
You guys are so friendly and Sioux Falls is now definitely my # 1 place to visit in the USA!
I can’t wait to return in February 2008!
I am just showing a client here in Australia the “Say something nice” video so you are adding some Christmas cheer to people down here on the other side of the world!
Best Regards
