The difference between a “blog” and a website is that a blog is a conversation. You can talk back in a blog whereas a website is something you just look at. So, use the comment link at the bottom of each post and speak up. Lots of people are listening and interested in what you have to say.
If you are visiting this site for the first time I want to say welcome and please notice this is a CITY Christmas Blog. The conversation here isn’t just for people who attend Church at the Gate. We are just facilitating the fun. Share the link with your friends. God is touching lives already through this and it’s not just through the stuff we are posting and saying - it’s through stuff you are writing in the comment box. Keep it up!
We just added a counter at the bottom of the menu to the left so you can see the incredible numbers of people meeting up here. We just launched this three days ago and already over 4000 people have visited our blog. Every day we are putting up a daily poll at the top of the menu bar to the left. Of the 1200 people who visited the blog yesterday, only 66 voted. We think it’s cause you aren’t seeing it.
We are also getting a few prayer requests each day through the “submit a prayer request” link to the left. Feel free to use that and know that people will pray daily for your specific needs. Another great feature here on our blog is that you can add your email address at the bottom of the menu to the left and subscribe to the blog. The benefit to that is that each new post will get sent immediately to you. After December 25, you won’t continue to get emails unless you specifically indicate you want to get them.

Pastor Steve, You need to get more sleep! I noticed the times these last to blogs were posted-just after midnight and just after 6am. I’ll pray for time for REST for you.
Teresa! I do need more sleep (this week anyway). But we are having a ball with this. Today I learned the blog is reaching 131 cities of the world right now (11 countries). Very cool. Back to the subject of sleep. Almost all these entries are added at one time (during daylight) hours and we set delayed post times for them to appear on the blog. I am not getting up a 6 AM to get these together. I am up at six or before for other stuff! Pastor Steve
