God has given us stewardship over the earth and the Church has not led the way in this - and so, those who bow before Mother Earth now have the world’s attention.

Pertaining to Christmas trees, Oregon seems to complicate the process of having a fresh tree for Christmas.
What I could do, is go out back, cut down tree, plant two others to
replace it in years to come. However, I believe this year we will use one of our artificial trees., as I am head of the house hold, i first have to ask the wife. There ya go……..Merry Christmas
I believe that the most important statement they was made in this post was this:

I don’t think that purchasing a “Green” Christmas tree is necessarily the point, but I do think that we need to step forward and take responsibility for our envoirnment and what is important. Maybe instead of presents this year, we should be advocating giving to others.
To be specific - most churches will probably put up decorations and provide the staff with a “Well-Deserved” Christmas bonus. Why not take that money and donate it to someplace like the Banquet instead? Yeah the building might be a little less colorful during the season and the staff might be disappointed - but when it get’s right down to it - the church needs to be more hands and feet in today’s society.
So - if it’s buying a “Green” Christmas tree or foregoing gifts in order to bless others - let’s try to think outside of our little world and start thinking about the Kingdom of God more.
